Built to last: New archive for Stone Island

TECTON LED supports bold contemporary design

The heavy earthquake in Emilia Romagna more than a year ago destroyed the archive of the Stone Island headquarters. The building represented the historical heart of the of the Italian fashion brand, housing more than 20,000 items of clothing and documenting 30 years of detailed work on design, materials and technology. Just like the latest collection on an Italian catwalk, the recently rebuilt archive now presents itself with a completely new look.

Making use of the latest earthquake-proof technologies, the 1.800 square metre complex features façades with exposed reinforced concrete, huge glazed panels and highly resistant steel.

The project was designed and implemented by a team of Associati Techne in Carpi. The engineering studio of Ing. Fabio Corradini represents an architectural image that combines design a material mix that emphasises the industrial heritage of the building.

The slim lines and timeless design of the TECTON LED continuous row lighting system perfectly complement the architecture, whilst ensuring the best possible lighting conditions throughout the building.
