Tramsheds Harold Park, one of Sydney's newest food destinations, not only offers a variety of top-class restaurants, cafes and bars in a European-inspired food hall, but there's also Supamart – Sydney's newest and most exciting supermarket brand. Zumtobel, being an expert in lighting for presentation and retail, was chosen to provide a comprehensive solution for Supamart Tramsheds in Glebe.
The new supermarket brand, Supamart IGA, owned by family business Karellas Group offers local, market and farm fresh produced food. For the illumination of the new 2440 square meter Supamart Tramsheds in Sydney's inner west, Zumtobel worked very closely with Karellas Group and CMS. The main tasks of this project were to make sure the products are well lit and in the right temperature.
Zumtobel’s TECTON, CRAFT and PANOS satisfied all requirements. The LED continuous-row lighting system TECTON combines consistent design with enormous flexibility. It was used as a wallwasher to highlight the sign art on the walls all around the store. The wallwasher’s asymmetric light distribution is specially designed for presentation and retail.
PANOS infinity wallwasher was used to highlight a feature wall behind the check outs of the supermarket. With its wide range of models, the PANOS infinity product group meets the challenges of various applications with brilliance – from homogeneous illumination of vertical or horizontal surfaces to emphasising highlights.
The bakery section of Supamart is highlighted with CRAFT. The high-bay LED luminaire combines high resilience, zero maintenance and a long service life with low electricity requirements.
