- HACCP certificate for luminaires used in the food industry
Lighting in the food industry is related to special photometrical, hygienic and electrical requirements. As foreign objects pose a health risk to food, they must be protected from contamination during fabrication. Therefore the principles of the HACCP concept (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) apply to the food industry. HACCP certified luminaires conform to the requirements of food legislation and may be used in food and beverage processing plants. - DLG quality mark for luminaires used in agriculture
The German Agricultural Society (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft e.V.) awards the DLG quality mark for agricultural products. Test criteria are the resistance to ammonia and the distance while cleaning. Thus, DLG-tested luminaires withstand ammonia-based air in stables. There is no acceleration of the normal expected ageing. And DLG-certified luminaires even resist stable cleaning with high-pressure cleaners. - D-mark for applications with an increased fire risk
There are also special lighting requirements in wood, paper and textile processing plants. This symbol confirms that the outer surfaces of the luminaire, on which highly flammable substances such as dust or fibres may gather, do not exceed the temperature limits of 90 degrees.
