The brand new BMW showroom in Slovakia was opened in November 2018 cca 50 km from the capital city Bratislava. The new Bavaria TT BMW showroom offers new and used vehicles, wide range of original accessories and full service of the premium car brand.
"The lighting solution requirements specified by the owner of the showroom were very clear – no oval shape luminaires," says Roman Bartalský, Project Manager Zumtobel Group. "Therefore, together with the architect Kristína Janeková, we have created a unique lighting concept based on long light lanes which symbolize both lanes on highways and car races atmosphere reflecting the dynamics of the vehicles at the same time."
This unusual concept won the tender among the other lighting solutions offered to the owner. The "lane effect" mirrored on the exposed cars was created with TECTON C LED in the interior part and SLOTLIGHT infinity under the canopy in front of the showroom.
Following the principles of Active Light and its effect on human beings all the above mentioned linear luminaires are in 4000 K to keep both sales representatives and customers fresh and energetic. On the contrary, in the chill out zone and the workplaces where the car purchase deals are discussed and signed were used 3000 K versions of Beta office, Tecton Mirel and Panos luminaires to create pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
In order to emphasize the high quality paint finish of the cars there have been installed ONICO L LED, colour rendering Ra>90, "True Gamut Rendering" versions in the 3-phase tracks in the showroom.
The service and workshop areas are equipped with waterproof luminaires - main car service stations with SCUBA from Zumtobel, workshops and storage rooms with Aquaforce2 from Thorn. All the showroom illumination is controlled by daylight-based Litecom system with several preset scenes for special occasions like shows and events.
