Ólafur Elíasson about "Light is Life"

Presentation held by the Danish artist during the International Year of Light Event

"Light is life" was the title of the keynote presentation held by Ólafur Elíasson at the Bregenz Festspielhaus. In his impressive presentation he demonstrated what light means for people and for himself, putting it in the context of his work. He also talked about his many years of collaboration with Zumtobel.

In 1995, Olafur Eliasson founded the Studio Olafur Eliasson in Berlin, where Eliasson develops and creates works of art such as extensive installations and photographs of a distinctly experimental nature. Eliasson is involved in a serious of projects for public spaces, such as Green River, 1998, for instance, which was realised in various cities until 2001. In collaboration with the Norwegian architect Kjetil Thorsen, he designed the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2007, a temporary pavilion situated in Kensington Gardens, London.
